After 8 years of creating and selling jewelry, T has experienced the highs and lows of owning her own business. She started Upper Metal Class 10 years ago with no formal jewelry education. Now she sells to more than 40 stores in the United States.
In April of 2017, she started Project Object - a shop that sells products from women, LGBTQ, and POC artists and makers. Only after a year, Project Object has been featured on Portland Monthly, Willamette Weekly, the Oregonian and Buzzfeed.
Now she wants to help others with their own small business.
In these monthly talks, T will go over:
- Her story about how she started the business and became full-time
- The different avenues of selling jewelry such as trade shows, wholesale, online, etc.
- What wholesalers look for
- What customers look for
- and more!
Because T wants to give specialized advice and tips, each event is limited to a few people. However, if tickets are sold out and you want to be added to the waitlist, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is perfect for a jewelry designer or small business owner hoping to enter Portland's saturated creative market. Taking the leap is scary, but we're to help.
