Klai Brown is unafraid of imperfections and her work certainly contradicts the social standards of beauty. She embraces what others may think as awkward, weird or unappealing. Celebrating those with wandering eyes, wrinkles, crooked teeth, chapped lips, and thick eyebrows. All these characteristics are the extracts from her encounters with people in her everyday life and translated into her original artwork using sumi ink and brush on bristol paper. Each painting comes framed in a white minimalist frame.
